We are happy to offer direct billing to extended healthcare plans which allow direct billing and online claim submissions from providers.
As all insurance companies and plans are different, we recommend asking your plan provider directly if they allow online direct billing on your specific plan. Unfortunately at this time, insurance companies do not allow an option for direct billing for Manual Osteopathy, except in the case of Green Shield, Equitable Life, and Co-operators. Most insurance plans do allow patients to submit manual osteopathy claims online and if you are set up for direct deposit, most plans will deposit claim payments within 48 hours.
The following insurance companies typically allow online direct billing:
- Alberta Blue Cross
- Chamber of Commerce
- Great West Life (does not allow direct billing on Sundays)
- Green Shield Canada
- iA Financial Group
- Johnson Group
- Maximum Benefit
- Standard Life
Random Audits on Claims
Occasionally some insurance companies will conduct random audits on claims or send claims for further processing. In these instances, we are unable to direct bill for that individual claim and you are responsible to pay the clinic for the full cost of the appointment. If your insurance company allows, we are happy to submit a claim payable to the Plan Member and the insurance company will send payment directly to the Plan Member once the claim has been processed.
If you were involved in a motor vehicle/ car accident, we are likely able to direct bill for your treatment. Please contact us for more information. You may also learn more about car accident injury claims and processes here.
