Assessment is at the core of a positive outcome, and reaching a pain free status as fast as possible. During your first visit, a thorough othopedic assessment will be conducted. This assessment may include a digital / visual postural analysis, range of motion testing, advanced orthopedic testing, or a variety of other specialised techniques to be able to accurately form a treatment plan. At the conclusion of this assessment, you will have a better understanding of your body's current health status, and your therapist will be able to form a clinical impression as to what is causing your pain / discomfort.

Your therapist will then discuss a treatment plan with you. This treatment will involve various osteopathic manipulations and may include modalities such as laser therapy, exercises, cranial sacral treatment, and various other interventions.

After discussing the results of the assessment and the treatment plan, with your consent, your osteopathic manual therapist will begin your first treatment. Most often the treatment is conducted with you fully clothed and in various positions on the treatment table. For some conditions, you may be required to sit, stand or bend during the treatment.

Manual Osteopathic Therapy is the assessment and treatment of all of the components that make up the structure of the human body. Whether it is organs, musculoskeletal dysfunction, joint issues or an impairment in the circulatory system, a manual osteopath is able to determine the root of your condition and provide an effective treatment to alleviate your symptoms and bring your body back into balance.

Using only their hands, a Manual Osteopathic Therapist is able to use manipulations to the joints or organs and gentle oscillatory movements to correct biomechanical dysfunctions that are related to neuromusculoskeletal complaints, this is also known as "fixing you with their hands".

In addition to the relief of pain, a Manual Osteopathic Therapist can give exercise, nutritional and lifestyle advice to complement the treatment that they provide and allow you to achieve your health goals faster.

We can help you find relief from:

  • Pain

  • Joint stiffness

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Headaches

  • Muscle injuries

  • Ligament injuries

  • Jaw pain

  • Back pain
