Founder of Energize Health
Energize Health has been Josh's dream for the past 15 years. Passionate about helping people with their physical health, he had always wanted a cutting edge, multi-disciplinary clinic that put the patients and their results first.
After gaining over 10 years experience in massage therapy, rehabilitation and healthcare, Josh, along with his wife Lisa, decided it was time to open Energize Health.
During his career, Josh has worked as the trainer for various college and university level sports teams, a therapist for CFL, NHL and Olympic athletes, and has worked extensively with patients who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents.
Josh is certified in kinesiology taping, laser therapy, shockwave therapy, Graston Technique and vacutherapy (cupping).
Along with his busy clinical practice, Josh is a board member with the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta and is passionate about furthering the massage therapy profession. He served as the instructor of Orthopedic Assessment for the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy – Calgary, from 2008-2011. He holds certifications as a personal trainer and is a former Emergency Medical Responder.
Josh graduated with Honours from a 3 year Advanced Massage Therapy Diploma program from Algonquin College of Arts and Technology in Ottawa in 2006 and is currently completing his Bachelors of Science degree with a major in Health Sciences.
When not in a treatment room at Energize Health, Josh can often be seen on the play structures around Evanston or in the field kicking a ball around with Lisa and their young daughter Olivia.
